The Altivar Machine ATV320 series is a range of variable speed drives developed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Its compact form factor allows vertical stacking of drives in machine frames. It operates at a rated power of up to 4 kW / 5 hp and a rated voltage of 200 V to 240 V AC. Its robust construction with class 3C3 coated PCBs according to IEC 60721-3-3 extends machine availability under harsh environmental conditions. For instance, it can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 60°C without additional cooling required. It features functions suited for the most common applications, including torque and speed accuracy at very low speeds, high dynamic performance with sensorless flux vector control. It allows the parallel connection of motors and special drives using the voltage/frequency ratio and the static speed accuracy, plus energy savings for open-loop controlled synchronous motors. It weighs 2.2 kg and has the following dimensions: 140 mm wide, 184 mm high, 158 mm deep. These help the machines meet safety requirements, whether they are used in conjunction with a Preventa safety module or not. These safety features are configured with SoMove software. The Altivar Machine ATV320 is designed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). They cover simple to advanced application requirements in the areas of packaging, material handling, textiles, material processing, mechanical actuators, and lifting operations. It complies with IEC, UL, TUV, KC, and other international standards. Mounting accessories and external options (braking resistors, line chokes, motor chokes, additional EMC filters) are available for Altivar Machine ATV320 converters. The type of external accessories and options depends on the converter power. The product is delivered in three packages. It is intended for vertical mounting (+/- 10°) on a panel thanks to 4 fixing holes. It is fully integrated into Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Machine via DTM. It is possible to configure, control and diagnose ATV320 drives directly in the SoMachine and SoMove software using the same software module (DTM). It is environmentally friendly and complies with directives such as RoHS, WEEE, etc. for environmental protection.
