The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 is designed for starting and stopping asynchronous motors with voltages from 208V to 690V. It meets the requirements of the most demanding applications in normal and heavy-duty operation. With a rated current of 210A under normal overload, it operates motors from 55kW to 200kW corresponding to the network voltage. Developed for digitalization, connected, optimized for compliance with cybersecurity standards, it simplifies project execution and maximizes application availability. Its torque control (TCS) masters acceleration and deceleration. Thanks to dynamic braking and DC injection, applications with high moment of inertia are efficiently handled. It can be connected in the motor line or in delta connection to reduce the operating current. The embedded test routine simplifies commissioning in delta connection. The dimensions are 320mm (width) x 277mm (depth) x 380mm (height) and the weight is 18.2kg. The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 was designed to monitor processes, infrastructures, and industrial machines. It is compliant with IEC/EN60947-4-1. It is certified to CE, cULus, UKCA, CCC, RCM, EAC, and marine certified to DNV, ABS, BV, and CCS. Operating terminals, remote mounting kit, and communication modules are standardized with Altivar Drives. Line chokes, DNV-Kits are identical to the previous ATS48. ATS480 is compatible with ATS48, it has the same footprint, mounting, torque control, I/O, menus... The integration of the Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 into EcoStruxure dramatically simplifies the selection of architecture, detailed design, and execution of ventilation and electrical systems. It is a Green Premium product that has been developed to take into account environmental aspects beyond current guidelines and regulations, and is compliant with RoHS and REACH.
