Cimco 183870 AL/CU RM Screw Terminals, 1.5–16 mm², with tear-off screws, up to 12 kV

The screw connector with shear screws enables the secure and reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors in low- and medium-voltage applications up to 12 kV. Thanks to its universal design, the connector is suitable for Class 1 and 2 conductors with cross-sectional areas ranging from 1.5 to 16 mm². The housing is made of high-quality aluminum with a 10 µm-thick tin coating, which provides effective corrosion protection and ensures a permanently secure electrical connection. The interior contains contact grease that protects the contact surfaces and reduces contact resistance. Two integrated brass shear-off screws ensure a specified tightening torque and enable reproducible installation without a torque wrench. Once the specified torque is reached, the screw heads shear off in a controlled manner, ensuring a connection that complies with standards. The integrated spacer bar allows for secure positioning of the conductors and facilitates proper installation. This makes the screw connector ideal for connection work in the power distribution, industrial, and utility sectors.
