Air-termination tip incl. two saddle clamps (clamping range 0.7-8 mm), for protecting, e.g. free field photovoltaic systems or carports with a PV system against direct lightning strikes. The air-termination tip is fixed e.g. on the metal substructure of the PV modules by means of two saddle clamps, which also provide a lightning current carrying capable contact. When mounted to the substructure, a distance of 15 - 20 cm between the saddle clamps and a free length of 80 - 85 cm should be ensured. When properly mounted, mechanical stability and a lightning current carrying capability of 100 kA (10/350) is ensured.
