This Altivar 212 frequency converter is designed to feed 3-phase asynchronous motors. It is IP21 rated and operates with a nominal power of up to 30 kW / 40 HP and a nominal voltage of 200 to 240 V AC. Its design is based on eco-energy with an energy consumption reduction of up to 70% compared to a traditional control system. Thanks to cable heating reduction technology, the Altivar 212 drive offers immediate, interference-free operation. It also avoids additional options like a network choke or a DC choke for the elimination of harmonic currents. It weighs 38.65 kg and has the following dimensions: 320 mm wide, 630 mm high, 290 mm deep. It is specifically designed for the most common fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings (HVAC), such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumps. It complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions). Additionally, it is certified by CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick, and NOM. The Altivar 212 offers optional motor chokes, which increase the maximum cable lengths between drive and motor and limit disturbances at the motor terminals. It is designed for vertical mounting (+/- 10°) on a panel thanks to 4 mounting holes. The Altivar 212 inverter can easily be adapted to any building management system with its numerous functions and the standard integrated communication protocols Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, and BACnet.
