This frequency inverter Altivar 212 is capable of supplying power to three-phase asynchronous motors. It has a protection class of IP55 and includes a built-in EMC filter. The unit operates with a rated power of up to 1.5 kW / 2 HP and a rated voltage from 380 V to 480 V AC. It is designed based on eco-energy technology with up to 70% energy consumption reduction compared to a traditional control system. Thanks to cable heating reduction technology, the Altivar 212 drive provides immediate, trouble-free operation. It also avoids the need for additional options such as a line reactor or a DC choke to eliminate harmonic currents. It weighs 7.5 kg and has the following dimensions: 215 mm wide, 297 mm high, 192 mm deep. The inverter has been specially developed for the most common fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings (HVAC) such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumps. The Altivar 212 offers optional motor chokes to increase the maximum cable lengths between drive and motor, and to limit disturbances at the motor terminals. It is designed for vertical mounting (+/- 10°) onto a panel thanks to 4 mounting holes. With its various functions and the standard integrated communication protocols Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, and BACnet, the Altivar 212 inverter can easily be adapted to any building management systems.
